Hearing test bookings, from a slow decision made by families.
Hearing loss is noticed by the family long before it is admitted by the person who has it. The average gap between first noticing and doing something about it runs to years, and most of that time is spent not searching for anything at all.
That makes this a patience business rather than an urgency one. The clinics that grow are the ones visible for a long time to two audiences at once: the person and the adult child who eventually makes the appointment.
Everything, from the ad to the booked call.
Free hearing test campaigns
The standard and correct entry point. A low-commitment appointment that starts a relationship rather than trying to sell a device.
Family-facing campaigns
Aimed at adult children, who are frequently the ones who book. A completely different message from the patient-facing one.
PRSI treatment benefit campaigns
The entitlement is widely held and poorly understood, and explaining it plainly generates appointments.
Follow-up over months, not days
A hearing enquiry that does not convert this month frequently converts next year. The system keeps them rather than discarding them.
Social media, fully run
Posted and monitored, so the clinic looks settled and professional when somebody checks.
The form asks first, so your phone rings second.
Every campaign sends the click to a lead form that asks the qualifying questions before the enquiry reaches you. For audiologists, that means:
- 01Is this for yourself or for a family member?
- 02Have you had a hearing test before, and roughly when?
- 03Are you currently wearing hearing aids?
- 04Are you claiming PRSI treatment benefit?
- 05County and clinic preference

Two audiences, two messages
The person with hearing loss and the family member noticing it want completely different things said to them, and clinics that use one message for both underperform badly.
The patient responds to dignity, discretion and independence. The family member responds to being told plainly that this is common, fixable and worth raising. Running one campaign at both dilutes both.
The treatment benefit is a booking trigger
A large share of the working and retired population has an entitlement under PRSI treatment benefit towards hearing aids, and a great many of them do not know it.
Clinics that explain the entitlement clearly, without overstating what it covers, generate appointments from people who had assumed the cost put it out of reach. Accuracy matters here — overpromising produces angry consultations rather than sales.
Why the follow-up is the business
Somebody who attends a free test and declines aids is not a lost lead. They are a customer who is not ready, and the average gap before they return is measured in months or years.
Most clinics let those contacts go cold. Keeping them, and contacting them properly, is usually worth more than increasing the advertising budget.
€1,500 a month. Everything included.
Meta advertising fully managed, lead forms that qualify, social media fully run, all creative every month and the Friday report. Google Ads managed on top: €2,000 a month. No setup fee, no contract, month to month. Advertising spend is paid directly to the platforms and stays in your control.

Straight answers.
Is a free hearing test the right offer?
It is the standard entry point in this category for good reason: low commitment, high attendance, and it starts the relationship without asking for a decision.
Should we advertise to family members?
Yes, as a separate campaign. Adult children book a large share of first appointments and they respond to a different message entirely.
How should we handle the PRSI entitlement?
Explain it accurately and do not overstate it. It is a genuine booking trigger and a genuine source of complaints when it is oversold.
How long is the sales cycle?
Long. Months at minimum, frequently years from first contact. The follow-up system matters more than the advertising volume.
Is this too competitive because of the chains?
They advertise heavily and nationally. Independent clinics win on continuity of care and on being genuinely local, which is a real and defensible difference.
What does it cost?
€1,500 a month with everything included, month to month.
