Stairlift leads, from families making a hard decision.
A stairlift is rarely bought happily. It is bought after a fall, after a hospital discharge, or after a family finally accepts that the stairs have become the thing keeping a parent from staying in their own home.
Advertising that ignores that context reads badly and performs worse. We run campaigns for mobility installers that treat this as what it is: a difficult family decision with a grant attached and a real deadline behind it.
Everything, from the ad to the booked call.
Housing Adaptation Grant campaigns
The grant drives a large share of this market and the application is daunting. Ads that address the paperwork, not just the product.
Family-facing campaigns
The adult child usually researches, rings and pays. The advertising is written for them.
Hospital-discharge urgency
A discharge date creates a hard deadline and a fast decision. Targeted and messaged separately from planned purchases.
Rental and short-term campaigns
For temporary needs after surgery, which is a different customer and a different price point.
Social media, fully run
Posted and monitored, because families check carefully before letting a company into a parent's house.
The form asks first, so your phone rings second.
Every campaign sends the click to a lead form that asks the qualifying questions before the enquiry reaches you. For stairlifts and mobility, that means:
- 01Is this for yourself or for a family member?
- 02Is the staircase straight or curved?
- 03Is there a hospital discharge date driving this?
- 04Are you applying for the Housing Adaptation Grant?
- 05County and Eircode
Then one number every Friday: spend, leads, cost per lead and what we are changing next week.
leads at €2.75 each on €57.78 of spend for a home-improvement client
cost per lead on a live trades campaign
Every figure comes from a client we can put you in touch with. We do not name clients in ads or on this page. See more on the results page.
The grant is the sale
The Housing Adaptation Grant for People with a Disability covers a substantial share of the cost for many households, and it is administered by the local authority with means testing and a real waiting time.
Families find the process intimidating, and the installer who explains it clearly — what is covered, how long it takes, what happens if it is refused — wins the job far more often than the one who simply quotes a price. This is the clearest example in any category we work in of paperwork being the product.
Curved is a different business from straight
A straight stairlift is close to a commodity, available quickly and priced competitively. A curved one is manufactured to the staircase, costs several times more and takes weeks.
If you fit both, they need separate campaigns and separate expectations. If you fit only straight lifts, the form should say so before somebody books a survey you cannot fulfil.
Straight
Fast, competitive, frequently ex-demonstration or reconditioned. Decision made on price and speed.
Curved
Bespoke, expensive, weeks to manufacture. Decision made on trust and on survey quality.
Rental
Post-surgery and temporary. Low value individually but steady, and it feeds referrals.
Tone is not a detail here
Advertising in this category fails more often on tone than on targeting. Language about independence and staying at home works; language about decline and disability does not.
The family is already uncomfortable. Copy that treats the decision as sensible and ordinary converts better than copy that emphasises how serious the situation is.
€1,500 a month. Everything included.
Meta advertising fully managed, lead forms that qualify, social media fully run, all creative every month and the Friday report. Google Ads managed on top: €2,000 a month. No setup fee, no contract, month to month. Advertising spend is paid directly to the platforms and stays in your control.
Every county in Ireland.
Campaigns are built around the towns you actually cover, not a county name. Counties where we see the most demand for stairlifts and mobility:
Straight answers.
Should we lead with the grant?
For a large share of this market, yes — but lead with the help rather than the amount. Families are more worried about the process than the price.
Do hospital discharges really drive enquiries?
They create the hardest deadlines in this category. Those enquiries convert fast and deserve their own fast response.
Who are we actually advertising to?
Usually the adult child. They search, they ring and they frequently pay. The copy should speak to them.
Is reconditioned stock worth advertising?
If you carry it, yes. It answers the price objection honestly and brings in families the full price would have excluded.
How do we handle a grant refusal?
Have an answer ready before it happens. Families who are refused and then abandoned leave reviews, and this is a category where reviews are read closely.
What does it cost?
€1,500 a month with everything included, month to month.
