What couples are actually looking for in your photos

Wedding venue marketing is almost entirely visual and almost entirely interchangeable. The same golden-hour exterior, the same empty room laid for a hundred and eighty, the same drone shot. Couples scroll past all of it, because none of it answers what they are actually worried about.

They are looking for their own wedding

Their guest number, their season, their style, their weather. A gallery sorted by nothing is a gallery they cannot use.

Organise by guest count and by season and the same photographs suddenly do work they were not doing before.

Real weddings beat styled shoots

A styled shoot shows what is possible with a budget nobody has. A real wedding shows what it looks like with actual guests, actual flowers and actual Irish light.

Credit the photographer, ask the couple, and use them. They are more persuasive and they cost you nothing to produce.

Show the wet-weather plan

Every couple marrying in Ireland has thought about rain and almost no venue shows it.

A photograph of a genuinely lovely indoor ceremony, or a covered terrace in use in the rain, removes the biggest unspoken doubt in the entire decision.

Photograph the things that get asked about

Where people arrive, where the drinks reception happens, the bridal suite, where the band sets up, the view from the accommodation, the walk from the ceremony to the meal.

These are the questions on every showround. A photograph each is worth more than another exterior.

  • Arrival and approach
  • Drinks reception, inside and out
  • The room at a realistic guest number
  • Wet-weather ceremony option
  • Bridal suite and guest rooms
  • The grounds in winter as well as summer

Video does what photographs cannot

Scale and flow. A short walkthrough showing how the day moves through the building answers the layout question instantly.

For couples who cannot visit easily, which in a destination county is a large share, it is the difference between an enquiry and a booking.
